Woodfired bottle made with clay from my backyard in NC, decorated with slip, fired to 2300ºF in the double decker wood kiln at Ceramics School.
This piece comes from the top chamber where it received beautiful flashing, reduction cooled to around 1600º. During the slow cool, crystals formed on the surface to create a sparkly sheen.
