Woodfired candle holder, made with local clay dug from my backyard in North Carolina. Decorated with white slip and fired to 2300ºF in the double decker wood kiln at Ceramics School for 2 days, reduction cooled to around 1600º.
This one is extra sparkly from the slow cool- it also has a small woodfiring scar from where it kissed another pot (visible if you look closely at the finger swipes)
