Woodfired bud vase made with clay from my backyard in NC, decorated with slip, fired to 2300ºF in the double decker wood kiln at Ceramics School.
This piece comes from the upper chamber where it received beautiful flashing, reduction cooled to around 1600º. The slow cool allowed crystal formation to develop, creating a soft sparkly sheen.
